My faith isn’t just one part of my life—it’s the foundation everything else is built on.

I am a daughter of our Heavenly Father, and I believe He knows me perfectly. He knows the desires of my heart because I truly believe He placed many of them there long before I was old enough to understand them myself.

I’ve never had to wonder what kind of woman I wanted to become.

I’ve always wanted to be a wife.

I’ve always wanted to be a mother.

I’ve always wanted to create a home where people feel loved, safe, and close to the Lord.

Some people hear those dreams and assume I’m settling for less. I’ve never felt that way. To me, there is nothing ordinary about building a Christ-centered home or raising children who know they’re cherished. I honestly can’t imagine a greater calling.

That doesn’t mean I’m sitting around waiting for those blessings to happen.

I’m preparing for them.

Every recipe I learn, every homemaking skill I practice, every scripture I study, every healthy habit I build is part of becoming the woman I hope my future family deserves.

One thing I’ve prayed about often is stewardship.

Heavenly Father has entrusted us with our bodies, and I believe taking care of them is an act of gratitude. I don’t think health is about chasing perfection or fitting into a certain dress size. It’s about honoring the body we’ve been given so we’re strong enough to serve our families, raise our children, and enjoy the life Heavenly Father has blessed us with.

I want to be the kind of mother who still has the energy to chase little feet through the garden, carry babies on my hip, tend to a homestead, and greet my husband with a smile at the end of the day. That’s one of the reasons staying active and eating well are so important to me. I don’t see those things as vanity—I see them as preparation.

Sometimes I worry that our culture has become too quick to accept habits that slowly hurt us. I know that’s not always easy to hear, and I certainly don’t believe anyone’s worth is determined by a number on a scale. Every single one of us is a child of God. But I do believe we’re called to care for ourselves with love, discipline, and gratitude. That’s something I’m continually working on in my own life.

Marriage has been on my heart for as long as I can remember.

I believe marriage is sacred, and I believe husbands and wives should keep choosing each other every day. I want to be the kind of wife who never stops dating her husband, who takes care of herself, who creates a peaceful home, and who makes him feel appreciated. Not because I think love has to be earned, but because I believe serving one another is one of the sweetest expressions of love.

One day I hope our home is filled with children. A noisy dinner table. Muddy boots by the back door. A garden that always needs tending. Chickens wandering around the yard. Homemade bread cooling on the counter. Family prayer before bed. Those aren’t just pretty pictures to me—they’re the kind of life I pray about.

Jake teases me because I already have plans for a pantry we don’t own in a house we haven’t bought yet.

He’s vegan, and while I admire how thoughtful he is about his choices, I still smile when I read the scriptures that remind us Heavenly Father created the animals of the earth for our use. I joke that someday I’ll win him over with the perfect Sunday pot roast. He just laughs and tells me not to get my hopes up.

Maybe he’s right.

Or maybe I just haven’t found the right recipe yet.

Either way, I know faith is about trusting Heavenly Father’s plan even when I can’t see every step ahead. My life doesn’t look exactly the way I imagined it would by now, but I don’t believe the dream itself was placed in my heart by accident.

I believe the Lord is preparing me for it, one faithful day at a time.
