I’m Lissa, and if there’s one thing you’ll learn about me, it’s that I believe the life we’re called to live is built through intentional choices long before we ever arrive there.

I am a daughter of our Heavenly Father, and I believe He has a purpose for every season of our lives. Some seasons are exciting, some are challenging, and some ask us to be patient in ways we never expected. I’m still learning what it means to trust His timing, even when it doesn’t always look like the timeline I imagined for myself.

I’ve always dreamed of a slow and seasonal life. The kind where mornings begin with fresh coffee and scripture study, bread is cooling on the counter, dinner is made from scratch, and the windows are open because there’s a breeze coming through the garden. I picture children running through the yard, fresh eggs gathered every morning, flowers in mason jars, and a home that’s peaceful, welcoming, and centered on faith.

That has always felt like the life I was meant to build.

I’m not there yet, but I don’t believe that means I can’t start preparing now.

I love learning homemaking skills, trying new recipes, decorating with intention, and finding little ways to make everyday life feel softer and more meaningful. Every loaf of bread I bake, every recipe I save, every garden tip I pin, every thrifted treasure I bring home feels like another small step toward the home I know I’ll have someday.

I’m probably on Pinterest more than I should be, if we’re being honest. I have a wish board that’s grown into something of a roadmap for the future I’m praying for. Farmhouses with wraparound porches. Cozy kitchens with well-loved cookbooks. Chickens, gardens, heirloom quilts, family traditions, Sunday dinners, Christmas mornings, and all the little moments that turn a house into a home. Looking at those pictures reminds me to keep my heart focused on where I’m going instead of where I happen to be today.

I’ve always wanted to be a wife, a mother, and a homemaker. Some girls dream about careers or traveling the world, and that’s wonderful, but my heart has always been drawn toward family. I don’t think there’s anything small about creating a peaceful home or raising children who know they’re loved. To me, that’s one of the most meaningful callings a woman can have.

These days you’ll usually find me with my wonderful boyfriend, Jake, and our two spoiled dogs, Missy and Boom. They’re my little family for now, and I’m grateful for them every single day. I know Heavenly Father has blessed me in so many ways already, and I try to remember that even when I’m eager for what’s next.

I know some people think it’s old-fashioned to want this kind of life.

I don’t.

I think there’s something beautiful about slowing down, caring for the people you love, creating beauty where you are, and choosing gratitude over constant busyness. That’s the kind of woman I’m striving to become.

This is where I’ll be sharing the things that inspire me along the way—faith, homemaking, recipes, holidays, beauty, fashion, wellness, country living, and all the little pieces that make up a gentle, intentional life. I’m still growing into the woman I hope to become, but I truly believe every small act of preparation matters.

I don’t know exactly what Heavenly Father has planned for me, but I know it’s going to be worth the wait.

Until then, I’ll keep preparing my heart, my home, and my hands for the life I believe He has been writing for me all along.
